Role and Responsibilities:
As a Waste Management Refuse Collector, you will support daily waste collection operations by assisting with the pickup, handling, and disposal of residential and commercial waste and recyclables along assigned routes.
• Collect and dispose of residential and commercial garbage and recycling along assigned routes
• Ride on the back of refuse trucks to support collection operations
• Lift, load, and empty waste bins into collection trucks safely and efficiently
• Assist drivers with navigation and route coordination when needed
• Operate hydraulic packers when properly trained and authorized
• Ensure routes are completed within scheduled timeframes
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
• Maintain clean work areas and support safe vehicle operations
