As a Waste Management Landfill Attendant, you will support daily landfill facility operations by directing traffic across scale lanes, inspecting waste loads, and assisting public and commercial haulers.
• Greet public and commercial vehicle drivers entering the landfill and scale-house facility
• Inspect incoming waste loads to verify compliance and prevent unauthorized or hazardous disposal
• Direct drivers safely to assigned tipping bays, working cells, or recycling drop-off areas
• Process scale house ticketing software, managing cash, card, and commercial account transactions
• Maintain cleanliness across tipping pads, scale houses, and site roadways
• Enforce site safety rules including high-visibility clothing and personal protective equipment
Required Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash/card transactions
• Physical stamina to work outdoors across varying weather conditions
